The airport departure tax in Costa Rica has increased to 28USD, from 26USD, per passenger and must be paid locally, by cash or credit card, prior to departure from the airports in Liberia and San Jose.
Passengers are responsible to pay a local departure tax of US$28 per person upon leaving Costa Rica. Please note this amount can change without notice.
